how it's made #

this site is built with eleventy, my favorite static site generator.

i use claude code to help develop and maintain this site. this includes editing html/css/js, configuring eleventy and troubleshooting build issues.

however, all content is entirely hand-written by me. large language models are only used for the technical/development aspects of the site, never for generating content or writing assistance. i promise i've just always liked an em dash – and don't intend on letting them take them from me 😤

book metadata is automatically fetched from the open library api using isbn numbers. inspiration and code snippets taken from Spencer Harston.

the site is hosted on netlify with automatic builds from github.
